Carry the Candle, Skull, Bottle, Lantern, and Bell from the puzzle room to their matching pedestals around Floor 8. You carry one object at a time. After placing all five, bring the floor relic back through the elevator for Rotten Pumpkin. Placing the last object does not finish the escape.
The steps below follow 南云时凌's October 29 gameplay recording, including the object placements and the return-to-lobby reward banner. This is a recording review, not a playtest on our own account.
Find the five objects
Enter the official Hollow experience, take the theater elevator, and choose Floor 8. The Overseer is the monster for this floor; keep your return route in mind while exploring.
Look for the purple cavern area with a bridge and a table holding all five objects. The maze and pedestal positions vary, so the recording's turns are not a universal route. Search your current layout for the room and the glowing object outlines on pedestals. Floor 8 location report
The table holds a bell, a bottle, a lantern, a skull, and a candle. Picking something up is not the same as delivering it.
Carry one object at a time
Choose an object from the table. The recording shows the Candle — Take prompt at 00:55, followed by the candle in the player's hand. Picking another table object replaces what you are carrying; return here when you need a different object.
There is no fixed delivery order in this guide. If you already know where one matching pedestal is, start with that object. Remember its shape as well as the path back to the table.
Match the glowing pedestal
- Leave the puzzle room with one object.
- Find the pedestal displaying that object's pale, glowing outline.
- Move close enough to place the object. In the recorded candle delivery, it snaps onto the pedestal as the player approaches.
- Check the result: the pale candle becomes a solid gold object and the carried candle disappears from the player's hand.
- Return to the table for another object and repeat until all five are placed.
The paired frames are one second apart in the same recording. They show the candle delivery. Other deliveries appear at approximately 01:26–01:38.
Return the relic and check Rotten Pumpkin
After the final delivery, the player carries the floor relic back across the maze and through the blue elevator entrance. The recording covers that return at approximately 01:39–01:59.
At 01:59–02:00, the lobby displays AVATAR ITEM OBTAINED, Rotten Pumpkin, and Puzzle Reward, alongside a badge notification. The original dialogue overlaps part of the reward card; the cropped frame preserves those pixels.
Check your own avatar inventory after returning. The recording shows the game's item-obtained message; it does not open the account's external inventory page or establish that every account can claim the item now.
The official records identify the Rotten Pumpkin badge and the separate Rotten Pumpkin wearable item. A badge ID is not an avatar asset ID.
Keep the reward routes separate

Use the reward directory for the partner reports and shop sources. Entering Warden or completing PETAPETA does not replace the theater puzzle.
If the puzzle seems stuck
If an object remains in your hand, check that you approached its matching outline. Go back to the table to exchange it if necessary. The room alone is not the whole puzzle: the pedestals are spread across the maze.
If all five objects are placed but you have no reward, finish the relic return and check both the item message and your avatar inventory. We have not verified what progress survives a death or server change, so do not assume either will preserve a partly completed run.
Rotten Pumpkin also has a short route in the claim steps. For the finale and the later reward-collection cutoff, use the event deadline.
